Director of Central Dispatch 911
Full Time – 40 Hours per Week
Roscommon County is accepting resumes and applications for the full-time position of Director of Central Dispatch 911. The Central Dispatch Director works under the supervision of the Roscommon County Central Dispatch Authority Board and Board of Commissioners and is responsible for the administration, direction and management of the department. This position provides emergency and non-emergency call taking and dispatching for all police, fire and ambulance services in the county.
Qualifications: Successful applicants must have excellent problem solving, reading and math skills, computer skills. Education should be equivalent to four years of college level course work or similar with training in areas such as law enforcement, fire services, or emergency medical services. Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred, including, Public Safety Administration, Public Administration, and Criminal Justice, or closely related field or Business Management. Previous work experience of a Minimum of three years in a 911 dispatching center, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in business/budgetary management activities and extensive knowledge of related technology is needed.
Full time employment wage will be compensated with qualifications and certifications of the applicant with respect to duties of the office.
