The Roscommon County Board of Commissioner’s met on Wednesday, November 10, 2009 for a regular meeting.  Chairman Nellist called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M.

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

 

Roll Call:  Nellist, Melvin, Schneider, Milburn, Stephan.

            1.         Moved by Schneider, seconded by Melvin to approve the agenda as

                        amended  Strike #3 and add move to make Anderson and Assoc.

                        agent of record for Roscommon Insurance for one year.  On roll call:

                        Ayes:  Schneider, Milburn, Nellist, Melvin, Stephan.  Nays:  None.

                        Motion carried.

 

            2.         Moved by Milburn, seconded by Stephan to approve Board of

                        Commissioner’s meeting minutes of October 14 and 28, 2009.  On

                        roll call:  Ayes:  Melvin, Schneider, Milburn, Stephan, Nellist.  Nays:

                        None.  Motion carried.

 

Public Comment – None.

 

            3.         Moved by Schneider, seconded by Melvin approve Class A bills.

                        On roll call:  Ayes:  Nellist, Melvin, Schneider, Milburn, Stephan.

                        Nays:  None.  Motion carried.

 

            4.         Moved by Melvin, seconded by Milburn to approve Claims and

                        Accounts.  On roll call:  Ayes:  Melvin, Schneider, Stephan,

                        Milburn, Nellist.  Nays:  None.  Motion carried.

 

Controller’s Report – None.

Old/New Business – None.

 

            5.         Moved by Stephan, seconded by Melvin to adopt the Five Year Parks

                        and Recreation Plan for Roscommon County as presented.  On roll

                        call:  Ayes:  Schneider, Milburn, Melvin, Nellist, Stephan.  Nays:

                        None.  Motion carried.

 

            6.         Moved by Milburn, seconded by Schneider to pay $1,808.82 for the

                        cost of the removal of ORV signs.  This amount is ½ of the actual

                        cost.  The remaining portion will be paid by the Roscommon County

                        Road Commission.  On roll call:  Ayes:  Stephan, Melvin, Milburn,

                        Schneider, Nellist.  Nays:  None.  Motion carried.

 

            7.         Moved by Milburn, seconded by Melvin to make Anderson & Assoc.

                        Insurance Agent of Record for Roscommon County for 1 year.  On roll

                        call:  Ayes:  Milburn, Melvin.  Nays:  Schneider, Stephan, Nellist.

                        Motion Failed.

           

Committee Reports

Schneider – Art Show-Kirtland thanked those who assisted show.

Milburn – Veteran’s meeting.  Attended Township meeting.

Melvin – Veteran’s  Schools

Stephan – H1N1-thanked schools for closing to stop spread.  Set up back pack program

                 with monies raised by Roscommon High School Students. 

            .

Nellist – Check with Central Michigan Health when vaccines are available.

            8.         Moved by Milburn, seconded by Schneider to adjourn meeting.  On

                        roll call:  Ayes:  Nellist, Melvin, Schneider, Milburn, Stephan.  Nays:

                        None.  Motion carried.
