The Roscommon County Board of Commissioner’s met on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 for a regular meeting.  Chairman Nellist called the meeting to order at 10:15 A.M.

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

 

On roll call:  Ayes:  Nellist, Melvin, Schneider, Milburn, Stephan.

            1.         Moved by Milburn, seconded by Stephan to approve the agenda

                        as presented.  On roll call:  Ayes:  Melvin, Schneider, Stephan,

                        Nellist, Milburn.  Nays:  None.  Motion carried.

 

Public Comment – Sue McIntosh, Library Discussion of Lyon Township Library.

 

Controller’s Report – 2010 Budget has been distributed;  NEMS Training passed;

                        Re:  Appropriation.

 

Review of Monthly Reports – Animal Control;  Juvenile Detention Ctr.;  Recycling;

Sheriff’s Dept.;

 

Visitors – None.

 

            2.         Moved by Milburn, seconded by Stephan to transfer $10,255.98 from

                        Courthouse Construction (410) Special Revenue Fund to General Fund

                        Capital Improvement (101-900-978).  On roll call:  Ayes:  Melvin,

                        Schneider, Stephan, Nellist, Milburn.  Nays:  None.  Motion carried.

 

Committee Reports

Stephan-DHS-Foster Care.

Melvin-County Fair, Friends of Library Board, and Craf Meeting at 10:00 A.M.

Milburn- Commission on Aging.

Schneider-Commission on Aging work needed on building.  ORV article from Houghton Lake Resorter.  Stimulus money released to counties.

Nellist-Higgins Lake Dam-new cables coming.

 

Public Comment – Tom Gallagher, Lake St. Helen Dam and ORV article.

 

            3.         Moved by Milburn, seconded by Schneider to adjourn meeting.  On roll
