The Roscommon County Board of Commissioner’s met on Wednesday, June 26, 2007 for a regular meeting. Chairman Mead called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M.

Roll Call: Nellist, Mead, Schneider, Milburn, Souder.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Also Present: Herb Weatherly; Bill Ancel; Lois Byrd; Philip Lucas; Carrie Perialas, E-911; Jim Valleau, Candidate for County Commissioner; Glenn Schicker, H.L. Resorter;

Ron Eno, Equalization Director; Terry MacKillop, Animal Control Director; Randy

Stevenson, Undersheriff; John Bawol, E-911 Director;

1. Moved by Milburn, seconded by Souder to approve the agenda as

amended to add award of construction bid in regards to the Animal

Shelter. On roll call: Ayes: Nellist, Mead, Schneider, Milburn,

Souder. Nays: None. Motion carried.

2. Moved by Mead, seconded by Nellist to approve minutes from June

13, 2007. On roll call: Ayes: Souder, Milburn, Schneider, Mead,

Nellist. Nays: None. Motion carried.

Controller’s Report – Authorization key to new building if lost will cost $50.00 to

get a new one. Cheryl talked about MERS Insurance, Road Commission Bond, and

benefits for life – MAC employees.

3. Moved by Nellist, seconded by Souder to approve the 2006

Audit presented by James Anderson at the Work Session of

June 13, 2007. On roll call: Ayes: Milburn, Schneider, Mead,

Souder, Nellist. Nays: None. Motion carried.

4. Moved by Milburn, seconded by Schneider to hire contract labor

at a rate of $8.00 per hour to operate the small lawn tractor at the

Airport. On roll call: Ayes: Nellist, Mead, Souder, Schneider,

Milburn. Nays: None. Motion carried.

5. Moved by Souder, seconded by Milburn to hire contract labor at

the rate of $10.00 per hour to operate the large farm John Deere

tractor at the airport. On roll call: Ayes: Mead, Nellist, Schneider,

Milburn, Souder. Nays: None. Motion carried.

6. Moved by Souder, seconded by Milburn to approve payment of

$325.00 to Norma Blodgett for 32.5 hours for lawn mowing at

the Airport. On roll call: Ayes: Schneider, Mead, Nellist, Milburn,

Souder. Nays: None. Motion carried.

7. Moved by Milburn, seconded by Nellist to award the construction

contract for the Roscommon County Animal Shelter to the

successful low bidder, Hardwood Hills Construction, 225 Schuster

Lane, Gladwin, Michigan 48624. The construction contract amount

shall not exceed Hardwood Hills base bid of nine hundred sixty six

thousand, seven hundred thirty six dollars ($966,736.00) contingent

upon receipt of the final dollar amounts associated with items listed

in Post Bid Addendum No. 1. On roll call: Ayes: Schneider, Mead,

Nellist, Souder, Milburn. Nays: None. Motion carried.

Public Comment – Terry MacKillop, Animal Control Director thanked Ron Eno.

John Meyer, and Dave Tagget for their assistance in the new Animal Control

Facility.

8. Moved by Milburn, seconded by Souder to adjourn meeting. On

roll call: Ayes: Nellist, Mead, Schneider, Milburn, Souder. Nays:

None. Motion carried.
