The Roscommon County Board of Commissioner’s met on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 for a regular meeting.  Chairman Mead called the meeting to order at 10:30 A.M.

 

Roll Call:  Nellist, Mead, Milburn, Souder.

 

Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

            1.         Moved by Milburn, seconded by Souder to approve the agenda.  On roll

                        call:  Ayes:  Nellist, Mead, Milburn, Souder.  Nays:  None.  Motion

                        carried.

 

            2.         Moved by Souder, seconded by Nellist to approve minutes from April

                        11, 2007  and April 25, 2007 as presented.  On roll call:  Ayes:  Milburn,

                        Mead, Nellist, Souder.  Nays:  None.  Motion carried.

 

            3.         Moved by Mead, seconded by Souder to nominate Ed Nellist as

                        Vice Chairman for the remainder of the year 2007.  A UNANIMOUS

                        VOTE WAS CAST.

 

            4.         Moved by Milburn, seconded by Nellist to approve Class A Bills.

                        On roll call:  Ayes:  Mead, Souder, Milburn, Nellist.  Nays:  None. 

                        Motion carried.

 

            5.         Moved by Nellist, seconded by Souder to approve Claims and Accounts.

                        On roll call:  Ayes:  Souder, Milburn, Mead, Nellist.  Nays:  None.

                        Motion carried.

 

Controller;s Report:  Economic Development and POAM Mediation.

 

            6.         Moved by Souder, seconded by Nellist to approve Treasurer’s report

                        dated April 30, 2007 as presented.  On roll call:  Ayes:  Milburn, Mead,

                        Nellist, Souder.  Nays:  None.  Motion carried.

Milburn – Second Chance Academy – Five GED’s and Fair Board’s meeting well attended.

 

            7.         Moved by Milburn, seconded by Nellist to enter into a three (3) month

                        contract with Lois Byrd as the Roscommon County Economic

                        Development Coordinator as presented in proposal from County

                        Controller (attached).  On roll call:  Ayes:  Souder, Mead, Nellist,

                        Milburn.  Nays:  None.  Motion carried.
