The Roscommon County Board of Commissioner’s met on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 for a regular meeting. Chairman Mead called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M.

Roll Call: Mead, Nellist, Pacella, Smolarz, Milburn.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

1. Moved by Pacella, seconded by Smolarz to approve the Agenda. On roll

call: Ayes: Milburn, Nellist, Mead, Smolarz, Pacella. Nays: None.

Motion carried.

Controller’s Report: 2007 Budget, POAM Contract, and Airport Contract.

Committee Reports – None.

Review of Monthly Reports: Airport, Sheriff, E-911, Gypsy Moth, and Animal Control.

Sheriff Staley spoke to the Board in regards to letter from new principal at the Houghton Lake Schools.

Ron Alden, Principal of Gerrish Higgins Middle Schools spoke to the Board in regards to

the school resource officers do on a daily basis.

Correspondence

A. Peter Injasoulian, Houghton Lake Schools.

Re: Liaison Officers.

Dave Vogl, School Resources Officers explained procedures and duties for Roscommon

County.

Russ Kidd gave update on Extension along with Pat Cudney, Helen Burgess, 4-H, and

Shari Dickson, Family Nutrition.

2. Moved by Nellist, seconded by Milburn to cancel the December 6, 2006

board meeting and move Claims and Accounts from December 5, 2006 to

December 12, 2006. On roll call: Ayes: Smolarz, Mead, Pacella,

Milburn, Nellist. Nays: None. Motion carried.

3. Moved by Mead, seconded by Smolarz to appoint Ann Bonk, Clerk as the

Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Coordinator for the County of

Roscommon. On roll call: Ayes: Nellist, Milburn, Pacella, Smolarz,

Mead. Nays: None. Motion carried.

4. Moved by Nellist, seconded by Mead to hire the architectural firm of

Wigen, Tincknell, Meyer & Associates to design and build the new

Animal Control Facilities and authorize Chairman, Larry D. Mead to

sign appropriate documentation as needed. On roll call: Ayes: Smolarz,

Mead, Pacella, Milburn, Nellist. Nays: None. Motion carried.

5. Moved by Pacella, seconded by Nellist to adjourn meeting. On roll call:

Ayes: Nellist, Mead, Smolarz, Milburn, Pacella. Nays: None. Motion

carried.
