WHAT IS
PROBATION?
Functions of the Probation Department are to assist the
Judge in determining an appropriate sentence and to supervise probationers
ensuring that they comply with the terms and conditions of the orders of the
court. Probation officers are responsible to refer probationers to
qualified treatment personnel and to introduce them to vocational or educational
resources.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT
SENTENCING
FINES AND COSTS ARE DUE ON
THE DATE OF SENTENCE. IF FINES ARE NOT PAID IN FULL, TIME IN JAIL WILL BE
ASSESSED.
Defendants are encouraged to complete all required
programs prior to sentencing and to FAX or mail completions to the Probation
Department.
REPORTING
PROCEDURES
Probationers must report to the Probation Department on
the 3RD WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH during the term of their
probation period.
Drug tests given on Probation Report Day are
$10
All male probationers who have to submit to monthly drug
testing must report between the hours of 9:00 am to 10:00 am. All other
probationers may report between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.

PANEL
Will be held at the Roscommon County Building at 7:00
pm. The cost is $25 (CASH OR MONEY ORDER ONLY). You must arrive
before 7:00 pm. If you are late, you will not be admitted.
