Veteran Awareness Walk

The number 22 is significant. It is what the Veterans Affairs Administration reports as Veteran Suicides that happen every day throughout America. This event is a 22-mile walk to raise awareness of this sad fact. It is hosted in partnership with the Veterans Affairs Offices of Roscommon, Crawford, Clare, Oscoda, Gladwin and Missaukee Counties and many business and community partners. The main purpose of the walk is to provide the community members with resources and information on how to prevent veteran suicides. A Veteran Outreach Toolkit and other informational resources will be provided to each participant. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2020. Registration Starts at 7 a.m. at the Roscommon High School Football Field, 10600 Oakwood Dr., Roscommon, MI 48653. Pre-registration for this event will take place through May 1, 2020. After May 1, registrations will be the day of the event, beginning at 7 a.m.
