The District Court, which was established by the Michigan Legislature in 1968 pursuant to constitutional mandate,
has more citizen contact than any other court in our judicial system.
The 82nd District Court is a weapons-free court. You are not permitted to bring any weapons into the Roscommon County Courthouse. This applies even if you have a concealed weapons permit. You may be subject to a search for weapons.

Criminal Division
All criminal cases prosecuted within the County of Roscommon are filed at the 82nd District Court. The 82nd District Court processes misdemeanor cases (less serious crimes), from arraignment through sentencing; felony cases (more serious crimes), from arraignment through preliminary examination, and felony pleas.
